Rockport is the picturesque town at the end of Cape Ann. Its Motif Number One scene of a lobster shack on the harbor is said to be the most painted and photographed scene in the U.S.

Already a magnet for artists, the town also has a world class chamber music festival. The music festival is getting a $17 million home on the waterfront for concerts and music classes.

The scenic beauty of the town and its friendly welcome of visitors have attracted a series of noted Hollywood figures for movie making ranging from Stephen Spielberg and Sandra Bullock to Eva Marie Saint and Cher. Sandra Bullock's "The Proposal" is scheduled to be released later this year.

Rockport's population is less than 8,000, which enables it to keep its small town pace and charm. Its Sandy Bay Yacht Club and Rockport Golf Club are available to members and non-members alike.

The town is still easily accessible to Boston. Route 128 is a five-minute drive from the center of Rockport and there is frequent and fast train service to Boston's North Station.
